  Mission To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education; To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education; To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.   Welcome to Kendriya Vidyalaya Fort William, one of the prestigious and leading institutions of West Bengal, India. It was established in 1965 and imparts education from class I to XII. The school is having 4 sections from class I to X. The Senior Secondary section of Vidyalaya is also having 4 sections – two sections of Science, one section of Commerce and one of Humanities. Nestled within the lush green Army Campus of Fort William, it is a beautiful three-storeyed building comprising of a library, big classrooms, well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology as well as Junior Science Laboratories, convention hall, and three computer labs equipped with all modern kits.
